GICLEE FINE ART PRINTS

Giclée printing represents the highest standard of fine art printing available at this time and artists and galleries around the world produce and display Giclée prints alongside original art work.

The process of Giclée printing was first developed as a fine art reproduction system about twenty years ago and has steadily increased in popularity during this time.
Today the technology has reached a point where these digital prints will outlive
the original works in terms of lightfastness and image stability. Giclée prints are
produced using large format ultra-high resolution inkjet printers and light fast
pigment inks. These are sprayed onto acid-free paper - the resulting prints are archival quality and exhibit the highest possible quality in terms of colour
reproduction, image definition and stunning tonal range.

At Blue Beyond all our Giclée prints are produced in-house and we use only
the highest quality papers and inks selected for their proven characteristics:

Hahnemühle Digital Fine Art Paper
Hahnemühle's paper makers
have produced hand-made paper since 1584.
Since 1886 the artists' paper factory in the south of Lower Saxony has taken
the name Hahnemühle and since that time this name has become associated
with the very highest paper qualities.

The paper we use is a white 100% cotton paper which guarantees archival standards. This mould-made watercolour paper features a distinct textured surface and its premium matt inkjet coating meets the highest industry standards regarding density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper.

Epson Ultrachrome K3 Pigment Inks
This is a high density pigment ink which produces prints with smooth colour
control that are faithful to the original with a wide colour range. This resin-coated pigment ink achieves superb longevity and durability and is ideal for use in fine art reproduction.
